The Pains and Discomforts of Pregnancy

Pregnancy is hard.  Growing a baby is hard.  It’s supposed to be uncomfortable and painful.  Right?

WRONG!

Yes, you are growing a baby.  Yes, that is hard work.  But it should be neither painful or uncomfortable.

The fact of the matter is that your body must undergo some physiological changes to support a pregnancy and birth a baby.  These changes trend to lead to pain and discomfort.  But is there anything we can do about it?

There absolutely is!

Chiropractic care, along with tweaking diet and lifestyle factors, can help with the following common pains and discomforts of pregnancy.

A cartoon depicting a conversation between two women, one elderly and one pregnant. The elderly woman asks about the pregnancy, while the pregnant woman internally lists various discomforts she is experiencing, illustrating the ups and downs of pregnancy.
  • Low back pain.
  • Sciatica like pain, or leg and butt pain.
  • Round ligament pain.
  • Heart burn.
  • Shortness of breath.
  • Bloating, swelling, or water retention.
  • Constipation.
  • Incontinence or leaking.
  • Fatigue and exhaustion.
  • Allergies.
  • Headaches.
  • Moodiness.
  • Nausea and vomiting.
  • Rib pain.
  • Food cravings.
  • Poor posture.
  • Neck pain.

During your pregnancy, don’t settle for common as your normal.  Search for answers and continue to improve your health for yourself and for your baby.  Ditch the pain and discomfort and start enjoying the miracle that God has created!
