5 ESSENTIAL OIL RECIPES EVERY MOM NEEDS

You don’t need a ton of money or materials to get your self-care on. Collect a few glass containers and sit down for some oily DIY fun!

I buy my oils from Simply Earth. I love their commitment to purity and affordability. These are the oils I sell in the office as well, so feel free to sniff the samples and find your new favorite blend!

Try these Do-It-Yourself recipes and let me know what you think!

Hot Hair Mask

You’ll need these oils on hand: Cedarwood, Peppermint, Eucalyptus

Use an empty dropper bottle (I clean out the ones that I get with my moisturizer, but you can buy them empty) and fill it up with fractionated coconut oil. The bottle I use is 1oz, so adjust the number of drops according to your bottle size.

After filling up the bottle with oil, add 3 drops of each oil to the bottle and shake it up. Heat this oil up between your hands before rubbing it into your scalp. Really get in there and massage your scalp to boost circulation and stimulate new hair growth. You can put this on your hair before you go to bed and wash it out in the morning for the most moisture. You can also take just a drop or two and run it through your ends as a leave-in treatment.

No More Scars Roller

You’ll need these oils on hand: Frankincense, Lavender, Rosemary, Myrrh

Fill a rollerball up with coconut oil and add in 8 drops of each oil. Not only does this smell amazing, but it also has powerful anti-scarring properties. Use the metal part of your roller ball to work into the scar tissue and let the oil do the rest. I love this for bumps & bruises for little ones, as well as C-section scars.

Awake & Alert Facial Spritz

You’ll need these oils on hand: Lemon, Peppermint

Use an amber glass spray bottle and add 1 tbsp of witch hazel, 10 drops of peppermint, and 10 drops of lemon. Top the bottle off with water and shake it up. Spritz lightly onto your face whenever you need a pick-me-up. I like keeping this in my car for long drives.

K.O. Sleep Blend

You’ll need these oils on hand: Lavender, Cedarwood, Ylang Ylang

It’s simple, but it’s powerful. Use 3 drops of Lavender, 3 drops of Ylang Ylang, and 1 drop of Cedarwood. Pop these oils in the diffuser and pass out!

Bonus Tip:

This isn’t really a recipe, but I love using pure lemon oil to get stickers off of plastic or glass. It never fails to work beautifully!
